Senior Graphic Designer (Northern office)

This position is based in our Northern office in Longridge near Preston on a 6-12 month contract.

We are looking for Senior Graphic Designer. We are looking for an organised individual who can work to tight deadlines in an ever changing environment, relishes a wide variety of jobs and always has bags of creative flair.

Key Requirements

  • A degree in graphic design or equivalent
  • Good graphic design industry experience
  • Good knowledge and experience of Adobe
  • Creative Suite (predominantly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Interpret and work to briefs
  • Create original and relevant creative concepts
  • Deliver concepts and finished work to specification and deadline
  • Able to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Understand the importance of being a brand guardian
  • Work well in a team and is client focused
  • Knowledge of the print process
  • Always willing ‘to give it a go’
  • Prepare finished artwork in the appropriate formats
  • Liaise professionally with suppliers and printers
  • Understand the requirements of corporate clients in a business to business as well as end user environment
  • Quick to learn new software
  • Maintains technical knowledge by watching online training sessions; reviewing professional publications and participating in relevant forums
  • Maintains creative knowledge, taking an interest in trends and current industry developments
  • Some experience in web design would be a bonus

Desirable but not essential

  • Some experience in web design would be a bonus

Graphic Designer (Southern office)

We are looking for Graphic Designer. We are looking for a productive and creative individual to join our creative team working across production, print and digital media. You can expect a wide variety of jobs in ever changing, fast-paced environment.

Key Requirements

  • A degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
  • Experience in creative industry working on print, digital and web projects
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (predominantly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Ability to produce interactive PDFs
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Understand the importance of being a brand guardian
  • Interpret, prioritise and work to briefs to deliver quality solutions
  • Create, present and deliver original and relevant creative concepts to specification and deadline
  • Knowledge of the print process and ability to prepare finished artwork in the appropriate formats
  • Quick to learn new soft ware
  • Maintain technical knowledge and skills
  • Awareness of emerging trends in creative industry
  • Confident and articulate, with the ability to voice and share ideas and opinions both internally and with clients
  • Work well in a team and is client focused
  • Liaise professionally with clients and suppliers
  • Understand the requirements of corporate clients in a business to business as well as end user environment

Web & Digital Designer (Southern office)

This position is based in our Southern office in Amersham

Blabbermouth is recruiting for a Web & Digital Designer who can work in a fast-paced environment, enjoys a wide variety of jobs and has bags of creative flair as well as solid technical knowledge.

Reporting to the Creative Manager, your role will predominantly include working on website projects. Handling multiple projects is the norm in our agency so it’s important you work well in a collaborative environment – working with Graphic Designers, the wider Marketing team and clients. As well as this, you’ll be accustomed to interpreting briefs and working to set deadlines and budgets.

We’re looking for a technically minded Designer with solid understanding on user experience to own the production, design and publishing of CMS based websites. Wire-framing, designing and executing websites from scratch or modifying existing templates/websites will be part of your day-to-day role as well as; landing pages to integrate with outbound marketing campaigns, content updates and asset production – always ensuring output is optimised for all devices/browsers and consistent with the client’s brand.

The digital side of the role will involve creating assets for; social media, animated and static web banners,
e-marketing platforms such as Dotmailer and MailChimp as well as HTML emails.

Essential Skills

  • Industry experience
  • In-depth understanding of user experience and web design
  • HTML/CSS
  • Wire-framing
  • Prior experience with a CMS
  • Experience in WordPress
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite specifically; Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver
  • Browser and device testing
  • Technical know-how and drive to troubleshoot
  • Strong communication and organisation skills
